Scent Detection Classes

A fun event open to all dogs to enjoy the challenge of locating a scent and communicating with their handler that the scent has been located. Scent Detection Instructors

Caroline Kimberly - Caroline channels her elite competitive experience into her work as a volunteer scent detection instructor. A top-tier competitor at the highest levels of both CKC and SDDA scent detection, she has also trained and trialed extensively in a variety of dog sports, including conformation, competitive obedience, rally-o, draft dog, hunt tests, working certificates, scent hurdle, and trick dog titles.

In addition to being a competitor, Caroline also operates on the other side of the scoresheet as a licensed judge for CKC scent detection, as well as for Fetch, Working Certificates, and Hunt Tests.

Above all, Caroline is committed to force‑free training methods. She believes that whether you're training for fun or for high‑level competition, the journey should be an enjoyable experience that builds a strong, trusting relationship between dog and handler. Her classes focus on clarity and clear communication between dog and handler, positive reinforcement, and letting each dog's natural abilities shine.
